“business is a conversation hence a change in our normal press release approach. whilst I’m not entirely sure that raising my own personal profile is always beneficial to the development of the business a number have people have asked me recently to describe what mckinley resource is about, what we do and what our plans are for 2007 so I thought I would release this update.” began martin dangerfield, director of leading executive and IT recruitment organisation mckinley resource.

“what we do is easy to talk about. mckinley resource provides world class success based permanent recruitment services. we continue to extend our client base and our presence within those clients by building strong business relationships based on our understanding of our clients’ real requirements.

2007 will see us develop a more extensive board level offering here in manchester as well as continuing to support our existing uk and mainland europe clients. identifying project and programme managers and directors will continue to be a core service offering predominantly to it services organsations. this service is complimented by identifying and recruiting general managers, delivery managers and service managers.

2006 saw us begin to place senior it sales people and I expect that to continue with an increase in our candidate network and clients that we support. currently under development are two new service offerings both at their early stages.  the first is a service offering aimed to tackle the tough volume business of placing people in call centres and telephone based selling environments, large and small, if we manage to come up with something new that delivers real value to our clients in this area I will be very happy.  this service is being developed in conjunction with  two clients, a specialist software provider, and a subsidiary of a FTSE100 organisation in the it hardware and services market.

the second new service is an extension of our existing executive business with a fully defined mckinley interim service offering providing senior managers initially to manchester and london based clients before extending the service to cover the uk and europe.

whenever I tell people what we are about it does sound a little soft but bear with it.  i have always considered my own personal approach to recruitment to be significantly different to the marketplace norm with the associated benefits that an open, honest and straight talking approach brings. everyone who works for or with mckinley resource is encouraged to take a similar approach, it isn’t always easy but it really does pay off in the long run.

above all mckinley resource is cool. not in a fashionable here today gone tomorrow way but in the way we work with our clients, our candidates and in our working lives. we do cool things, deliver cool assignments, work with cool clients and candidates and we attract cool people to work here, people who want the challenge a career in recruitment can offer but feel that there is a better way to do it.
